Review of Cases of Inmates Serving a Sentence
of Imprisonment of Less Than Two Years

18. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the cases of inmates serving a sentence of less than two years that must be reviewed by the Board pursuant to paragraph 8(1)(b) subsection 8(3) of the Act are those cases in which [SOR/86-917]
 (a)
the Board has received from or on behalf of an inmate an application for full parole; and
 (b)
the application is received
 
 (i)
not earlier than four months before the inmate's full parole eligibility date, and
 
 (ii)
not later than four months before the expiration of two-thirds of the term of imprisonment to which the inmate was sentenced.
    (2) The Board is not required to review any application described in subsection (1) that is received within six months of a previous decision to deny parole to that inmate.
