Day Parole Review

14.1 (1) The Board shall conduct a day parole review in respect of an inmate by way of a hearing on, or in the six months preceding the inmate's day parole eligibility date, unless the inmate is not in lawful custody, in which case the review shall be conducted as soon as practicable after the Board is informed of the inmate's return to custody.
    (2) Where, pursuant to subsection (1), the Board conducts a day parole review in respect of an inmate serving a term of imprisonment of three years or less, the Board shall also decide whether to grant or deny full parole, to be effective on the inmate's full parole eligibility date, or to defer a decision respecting full parole.
