| 25.4 Board may cancel or vary order - The Board may, on application therefore and subject to the regulations, cancel or vary the unexpired portion of a prohibition order made under subsection 259(1) or (2) of the Criminal Code at any time after | ||

(a)

in the case of a prohibition for life, ten years following the commencement thereof; or | |

(b)

in the case of a prohibition for a period exceeding five years but less than life, five years following the commencement thereof. | |

| 26. Clemency - The Board shall, when so directed by the Solicitor General of Canada, make any investigation or inquiry desired by the Solicitor General in connection with any request made to the Solicitor General for the exercise of the royal prerogative of mercy. | ||
