BACK PREVIOUS SECTION NEXT SECTION BACK PREVIOUS SECTION NEXT SECTION | 41. (1) An inmate may make a written complaint concerning the operation of the correc tional centre to the Director of Inspection and Standards. | ||
| (2) An officer or director shall, on request, provide assistance to an inmate making a complaint under subsection (1) and shall, on receipt of a sealed envelope from the inmate addressed to the Director of Inspection and Standards forthwith forward the envelope to him. | ||
| (3) On receipt of a written complaint under this section, the Director of Inspection and Standards shall, as soon as practical and reasonable | ||

(a)
|
acknowledge receipt to the inmate in writing, | |
|
(b)
|
investigate the matter complained of, and | |
|
(c)
|
advise in writing the inmate and any officer named in the complaint of the results of the investigation. | |
